Production Process Overview
The fruit drying production line involves key phases including raw material processing, pretreatment, drying, and packaging, utilizing specialized equipment to maintain product quality and enhance production efficiency.
Raw Material Processing
Initial cleaning employs roller washing machines with high-pressure water flow and brushes to remove surface dirt and impurities. Soft fruits like bayberries and strawberries are washed at 0.3-0.5MPa to prevent damage, while harder fruits such as kiwis and apples can withstand washing at 0.8MPa.
Optical sorters with CCD cameras evaluate color and shape to identify and eliminate moldy or insect-infested fruits, with color difference parameters adjusted based on fruit characteristics.
Pretreatment
Slicers are selected based on fruit attributes - serrated blades are optimal for slicing pineapples uniformly at 5-8mm thickness.
Halving machines or pitting knives remove pits, while peeling involves peeling agents or hot alkali solutions followed by water rinsing.
Fruit slices are soaked in 1-3% salt solution to prevent oxidation and discoloration.
Drying
Air energy dryers or hot air drying equipment are used with temperature, humidity, and time controlled via PLC touch screens. The process includes initial low-temperature heating, gradual heating, color fixation, and humidity control.
Materials are dried within specified temperature ranges with controlled humidity levels, adjusting drying times based on material thickness and characteristics.
Packaging
Dried fruits are classified by size and color, then sealed using packaging machines to ensure hygiene and extend shelf life.
Following packaging, metal detection equipment identifies foreign objects while coding machines imprint production dates and batch information.
