Product description of tomato processing plant

Key process of the tomato paste processing line

1. Discharge platform
When it comes to fresh tomatoes, it’s usually a heavy truck that’s hard to empty with people. Therefore, we designed an unloading platform and used water to transport fresh fruit / tomatoes to the processing line. Also use a water gun to remove fresh fruit / tomatoes from the truck. In addition, the unloading platform has another function that allows you to pre-wash fresh fruit / tomatoes before processing.
2. Elevator
This machine is used to delivery fresh fruit from outside the building to inside.
3. Washing
Fresh fruits should be washed well before crushing. For washing, we can use foam washing machine and spray washing machine together. If the need for washing is high, more washing steps can be added. Also, we can add ultrasonic cleaning and ozone cleaning for better cleaning effect.
4. Sorting
After washing, the surface of the fruit is clean, we can check the situation of all the fruit by human eye, and sort out the bad tomatoes by human.
5. Crushing for tomato processing
GFM-FC series crushers have sophisticated operating principles, superior production accuracy and excellent crushing capabilities. It is mainly used in crushing various fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, mangoes, apples, strawberries, pears and celery. The raw material can be crushed into smaller particles, which can increase the efficiency of subsequent processing work. Chapter. 6. Preheating
The pre-heater is used to heat the product after crusher, the temperature is adjustable, normally from 45℃ to 85℃. This processing step, would help to higher the juice rate for next step, and also can protect the color and taste of the final product.
7. Pulper and refiner
This machine also works at 1470 rpm, which produces centrifugal energy that allows the product to pass through the sieve, helping to refine the product. Typically, two stages of pulper and refiner are used, but each stage screen is different, the first stage screen is larger and the second stage screen is smaller. Tomato pulp production rate of two-stage mixer can reach 90% -95%. After pulp, tomato skin and seeds are separated from tomato pulp. The machine has great working capacity and stable performance. Easy operation and replaceable screen. Suitable for many types of fruits like passion fruit, tomato, mango, peach, apricot, mango and apple.
8. Evaporating
Vacuum Evaporator is used for concentrating the tomato paste under vacuum and low temperature. Here we are using Forced Circulation Vacuum Evaporator. Because it’s under vacuum and low temperature, so the tastes and nutrients would be protected as much as possible. And right now, we evaporate the water from the tomato pulp, then we will get the tomato paste, normally the Brix is 28-30% and 36-38%.
9. Sterilizing
Tomato paste uses a tube-in-tube sterilizer. Adjustable sterilization temperature and retention time. The machine holds the ketchup at a high temperature of about 115 degrees Celsius for 30 seconds, then immediately cools it to room temperature. Thus, tomato paste can be tested to preserve as much nutrients as possible. The whole system assumes programmable control. The operating system adopts human-machine image interface, making it convenient to perceive the working condition of each component of the device intuitively.
10. Aseptic Filling
Aseptic filling machines work with tubes in a tube sterilizer. It is a closed loop. Prior to production, the cycle is fully sterilized to ensure a sterile environment. And the filling cavity is also steam protected to ensure that the filling environment is also sterile. Security - Provides multiple security methods. Mirror welding technology is adopted to ensure clean and smooth welds. Separate control panel. CIP and automatic SIP can be used with the sterilizer. 11. Storage or go blending
The finished product can be stored or used as the raw material to make the tomato sauce or ketchup.
